many-a-morning 

alta yakwa pil k'watin yaka koko ya lateyt koopa she-like-em
spoos ya 'ayak tlataawa taa
alta kullakulla ya hiloo miLayt

this robin knocking his head at his reflection
a fleeting spirit 
a bird that is naught

anah kakwa nayka koko na lateyt koopa yakwa kanawi qa !
spoos nayka tl'ap yakwa tlataawa ikta !
nayka lemah paL hiloo iktah alta 

painfully like me knocking my head against this world !
as if to catch this fleeting thing !
my hands full of nothing !

  as already discussed earlier in this list, the CJ name for "robin" is pil k'oaten (according to Boas, and after him Shaw), that is pil k'watin "red belly".

      I've never seen a specific word for this bird, either. Not sure why there is not one, but perhaps this bird lacked usefulness in a CJ context?
