How to say 'distantly related'

In a shorthand letter referring to an "ol Larus" (old Larousse), I find
the expression, "pi Larus tanas tilikom kopa Kamlups tilikom".

Since he's old, "tanas tilikom" doesn't mean "child(ren)" - - - remember,
you don't find a ton of flowery metaphorical talk in Jargon.

Instead, this seems to mean that this Deep Creek / Soda Creek man
is 'distantly related to the Kamloops people.'

Nice use of the diminutive _tanas_!
