Riddle, George W.  1968 [1920].  History of early days in Oregon.  
Seattle: Shorey.  

Personal experiences of someone who spent his life, from age 12 onward, in 
southwestern Oregon.  He seems to have learned the Cow Creek Athabaskan 
language as well as Jargon from his Indian friends and neighbours.  

Riddle quotes some CJ speech.  He claims visiting Klickitat traders taught 
Cow Creeks "a few words" of CJ, "which was soon improved upon by the aid 
of a Chinook dictionary."  (p.43)
