Apologies for cross-postings.

Please find below information on a EURESCO Conference on metaphor,
metonymy and closely related forms of figurative language (e.g., idiom,
simile), which may be of particular interest to you. Scientific
programme, application form and practical information are accessible
on-line via http://www.esf.org/euresco/04/hc04184. For further details
on this event, please contact Ms. Anne-Sophie Gablin (asgablin at esf.org)
from the Euresco Office. Many thanks also for passing on this
announcement to your colleagues who may be interested in this event.

One goal of the conference is to engender more interplay between
psychological, computational and neuroscientific work on figurative
language/thought. Applicants in other disciplines who are interested in
figurative language/thought are welcome as well.

Please note that the application deadline, for both attendance and
proposing a contribution, is quite soon (February 6th) but that only a
one-page abstract is required in proposing a contribution.

Kind regards,
John Barnden
