EASTER SCHOOL

Learner Corpus Research: Theory and Applications

3-7 April 2006
Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium

We still have a few places available for the 
Easter School on learner corpus research that 
will take place at the Centre for English Corpus 
Linguistics, Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), from 3 to 7 April 2006.

The aim of the Easter School is to introduce 
learner corpus research through a series of 
lectures, workshops and hands-on sessions. It is 
intended both for researchers who have recently 
embarked on a learner corpus project and those 
who simply want to know more about this new field of research.

- Computer-aided analysis of lexis, grammar and discourse
- Learner corpora and Second Language Acquisition research
- Pedagogical applications of learner corpora 
(dictionaries, teaching materials, CALL programs, testing)

PARALLEL WORKSHOPS:

- Automated extraction and analysis of phraseological units
- Relevance of corpus-based contrastive studies for learner corpus research
