syntax trees are just ordered, rooted trees, yet way more meaning can
be inferred from sentences if leaf nodes are assigned weights
regarding their (contextually possible, ) intended meaning, which even
if they relate more to the semantics/pragmatics of a sentence, they
can alter the meaning of the sentence all together
~
The New York Times' motto "All the news that is fit to print" can be
interpreted in different ways depending on which of the roles
modifying the subject you put more semantic weight: the adjective
"all" or the predicate "that is fit to print"
~
How do you disambiguate or overload parse trees senses in case in
which they may be interpreted as ambiguous?
~
How do you explicitly annotate such weights on leaf nodes?
~
Any work relating to such things you know of?
~
 thanks
