[Corpora-List] Position: Postdoc @Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar

A post-doctorate position is available at Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar for a 2-year project funded by Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF).  

Applicants will work with Kemal Oflazer and Behrang Mohit at CMU-Qatar on the following project:  
"Learning from Comparable Corpora for Improved English-Arabic Statistical Machine Translation". (Co-PIs: Kemal Oflazer and Alon Lavie) 

 
The postdoc position requires a PhD degree in Computer Science or relevant fields.  The position requires background and expertise in multilingual processing and Statistical Machine Translation.  Arabic knowledge is strongly desired.  

The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and background, foreign service allowance, excellent health care coverage and allowances for housing and transportation.
