A database has a simple structure. One can impose a variety of 
complicated structures on a text -- as Adam has aptly summed it up. 
Chacun à son goût.

A comment on a comment:

"I think you should apologize to the people you want to be shot. I can't 
believe that someone (especially with a scientific background as you 
have) articulates in such manner."

It is sometimes hard to believe how hard it is to recognize a bit of 
hyperbole.
