[Corpora-List] AACL 2014 Pre-Conference Workshop: Introduction to Graphics with R

A workshop titled 'Introduction to Graphics with R' will be led by Geoff LaFlair and Jesse Egbert at the American Association for Corpus Linguistics conference in Flagstaff, AZ. The workshop will take place Thursday, September 25 from 5:15 pm to 7:30 pm. The workshop is free of charge to registered conference participants.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create publication-quality graphs with the ggplot2 package in R. ggplot2 is a powerful tool for building and customizing elegant graphics. We will introduce how to: load data into R, prepare data for graphing, and create graphs in color and grayscale (e.g., barcharts, histograms, boxplots, line graphs, and scatterplots). During the workshop participants will get hands-on experience creating and polishing basic graphs. No knowledge of R or ggplot2 is required.
