Pragmatics of social and cultural capital (working title)
Editors: Jan P. Galkowski & Hubert Kotarski (University of Rzeszow, Poland)
Call-4-abstracts

Jan Galkowski and Hubert Kotarski of Institute of Sociology of
University of Rzeszow are collecting abstracts of articles eventually
to become a multi-author book on social and cultural capital. Editors
are interested in the theoretical reflections as well as research
results related to social, cultural, and symbolic capital understood
in the terms of Pierre Bourdieu theory and its further developments or
critical readings. Cases based on research conducted in East and
Central Europe are especially warm welcomed. Critical approaches
highly appreciated.

Book is planned to be publish both: traditionally and, in order to
secure high visibility, a digital eBook available in a chosen
scientific repository (OpenAccess, CC-BY). Cost of the publication of
accepted by the reviewers articles will be covered by the University
of Rzeszow.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Social capital and/or cultural capital in theoretical reflection,
*Contemporary understanding of social capital and/or cultural capital,
*Theory of social capital and/or cultural capital interwoven with
interpretivist/pragmatic/ phenomenological theories,
*Theory of social capital and/or cultural capital from feminist or/and
queer perspective,
*Theory of social capital and/or cultural capital from the critical perspective,
*Social capital and/or cultural capital in the local/regional settings,
*Social capital and/or cultural capital of the minority groups,
*Social capital and/or cultural capital of the youth,
*Social capital and/or cultural capital in the times of crisis,
*Urban social capital and/or cultural capital.

Language of submitted abstracts/articles: English
Quotations style: APA
Length of abstracts: max. half a page + name of author, his or her
affiliation, email address, scientific specialisation, professional
interests.
Expected length of accepted articles: 21,000 - 60,000 characters
(including the spaces between words).

Important Dates:
Submissions of the abstracts due on August 31, 2013;
Review of abstracts results due on September 6, 2013;
Submissions of articles due on November 30, 2013;
Review results due on January 5, 2014;
Manuscripts (final versions) due on January 31, 2014;
Expected publication date: May 2014.
