I am a Ph.D. candidate in sociolinguistics at Georgetown University. At the moment, I am writing my dissretation on 'Self-Presentation in Public Discourse". The corpus of my data is television interviews with politicians from the Middle East. I look at linguistics patterns in their interviews to see how that reflects in their projected self-images.
