question for the list...

Would some of you chip in with an opinion of the "best" (most compelling, 
well constructed, etc.) recent scholarly work on the topic of native 
language instruction/bilingual education.

I teach a class called systemic reform in education and I want to get them 
jump started.  I just want to be sure that I am well-informed myself.

Suggestions?  Ideas?  f
