International Mother Language Day: Promotion of linguistic diversity stressed

 

LAHORE: The ninth International Mother Language Day is being celebrated across the world today (Thursday) to promote linguistic diversity and multilingual education.

The Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAAC) held a ceremony in this connection on Wednesday. More than 10 organisations, working to promote Punjabi, including Punjabi Adabi Sangat, Punjabi Adabi Board, Ustad Daman Academy, Loak Sangat, World Punjabi Union and Baba Farid Academy, held a conference on the occasion.
