Dear Colleagues,

Please distribute this widely through your university and professional networks. It is a wonderful opportunity for bilingual students, who have completed their B.A. and are interested in teaching science. Adelphi University received funding through Race to the Top to develop a residency program for bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) students with an an M.A. and a strong science background. Candidates will engage in a clinically based, hands-on training in support of the national shortage of bilingual science educators.

Project BEST offers a wealth of benefits, including the opportunity to earn a master's degree, mentorship from esteemed professionals and a substantial stipend
and living allowance. See the additional information below and attached flyer. For more information, students can go to: http://education.adelphi.edu/departments-programs/curriculum-and-instruction/grant-funded-programs/ . Interested students are welcome to contact me at dgordon at adelphi.edu or my colleague Dr. Tracy Hogan at hogan at adelphi.edu.

All best,

Daryl Gordon
