Social Inclusion, peer-reviewed journal indexed in the Social Sciences
Citation Index (Web of Science; Impact Factor: 1.543) and Scopus
(CiteScore: 3.0), welcomes new and exciting research papers for its
upcoming issue "Inclusive and Sustainable Education for Social
Inclusion," edited by Liu Zhenling (Henan University of Technology) and
Sulochini Pather (Leeds Trinity University).

The goal of this thematic issue is to provide a critical analysis of
barriers to social inclusion in schools and propose inclusive
educational practices that help connect and unite diverse students. We
propose proactive practices as “built-in” prevention to increase social
inclusion, in addition to summarizing relevant intervention approaches.
Also, we recommend greater emphasis on social inclusion in teacher
education and professional development, as well as suggestions for
future research.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  * Social inclusion and school adjustment
  * Anti-bias, intergroup contact, and social norm interventions
  * Multicultural education and social-emotional learning
  * The role of teachers in students’ social inclusion in the classroom
  * Mobile learning for quality education and social inclusion
  * Adaptation of the educational system concerning the inclusion
  * Educational inclusion and cultural diversity in regional communities
  * Social inclusion and exclusion in a higher education environment
