Yes, I had exactly the same problem. I solved it by adding a short
silence (50-100 msec) at the beginning and the end of the file. However,
I believe that there must be a more elegant solution

Objet : clips/crackles while playing .wav files

Has anyone noticed a "clip" or "crackle" type of sound at the beginning
and end of .wav stimuli? I created some tones, which sound smooth when
played by another program (e.g. Windows Media Player) but not when
getting played back by e-prime.

Thank you in advance for any feedback.
