Powerpoint Viewer 97 bug

Dear Eprime users --

I often have Eprime use Powerpoint Viewer 97 to present AVI videos and
it usually works well. 

On one of my computers, however, I get the following error message as
soon as the video starts playing: "Video not available. Cannot find
'vids: MPG4' decompressor. I went to Microsoft and downloaded and
installed what I thought was the appropriate decompressor, but no luck.
The video plays OK on Windows Media Player, so the problem seems to be
specific to PPT Viewer. 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
