foot pedals

Does anyone have any experience of setting up an nXPeds USB foot pedal (or equivalent) with E-Prime? Is it straightforward? We are looking to purchase programmable pedals for transcription tasks, and it would be neat if we could also use them in the occasional E-Prime paradigm.
