Problem detecting key releases

Hi

I have a paradigm where I use an extended keyboard input to allow me to
cycle around a couple of alternating images (a change blindness experiment)
until a key is pressed.

This works very well, but now we would like to change it thus:

Text object: "Press and hold response button to start, relase when you spot
the change", infinite display duratiom, terminates on keypress

Text object: "+" display duration 1000ms, input mask infinite duration, Jump
to EndLabel

Flag: StartofLoop

[objects here to loop around 2 images etc]

Flag: Endlabel

[rest of paradigm]

I have the keyboard device set to record Presses and Releases, but I cannot
get the release to be noted/recorded. Is this because the initial press is
on one object, and the release is on another? How can I get the program to
work as desired,i.e. pressing a key starts the looping, releasing it stops
the looping.

I actually want to do this with a serial response box, but the problem
appears to be common to both.

Thanks,

hello,

Perhaps the following eprime script is useful for all of you who would like
to implement interactive mouse click region in eprime:
http://www.psy.vu.nl/download/paul/memory.zip
This script implements the well known 'memory' game where one has to select
pairs of matching cards from an array of non-facing cards.
Note that the inline scripting of this test is not very trivial though!
A small readme is provided along with the script.
