Sending the response code for an experiment with neuroscan

Hi,
We have been working on how to send the response code (1/2, which are 
pressed on the computer keyboard) to be writen in the EEG file. However, 
since we have some script, when we record the response in the EEG file, at 
the time of its occurrence, a problem appears:
the sound file stops and also its window of 2000 ms (i.e., the word is not 
listened any more and the response window is shorten).

How could we keep listening the audio file meantime in the background the 
script for sending the response code is being sent?
