control the space between the letters

I would go with changing the fonts, as Peter suggested, if at all 
possible.  But here's another thought:  Render each of your sentence & 
spacing displays into an image file, and then use ImageDisplay instead 
of TextDisplay to show the sentences.  This of course would mean making 
400 x 5 = 2000 sentence/spacing image files.
