edata files and .txt corrupted

Hi!

I'm trying to re-analyse some data from an old experiment, and to my 
surprise, when I tried to merge the participants again, the merged file 
didn't work, then I tried to open the participant file, neither, so I tried 
recovering with the E-recovery, and the following message appeared: 
"Unrecognized E-run text file format. Could not perform recovery."

I badly need those files, so I would appreciate if anyone could come up 
with a solution...
