Hi,

That’d be one option, but you might have trouble finding a blurry font that is strictly similar otherwise to its non-blurry version. What you could do, is:

Download expression design (now free): http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=36180

Add blurring mask to each word individually, as an effect on top of the word.

Best,

Michiel

Hi, I would like to manipulate the perceptual saliency of target words in a flanker paradigm. they idea way to do this would be to present the target words in a blurred form, while maintaining the distractor words in their clear form. Thus I was wondering if anyone knows how to accomplish this? For example, is there a particular font that can be selected to make the target words slightly more blurry?

Thanks!
Peter
