Agentive verbs

Many thanks to all of you who have replied on and off list.
I was mainly interested in discursive (rather than lexicological) data, and the
replies indicate that wherever distinctions between verbal and other (copular)
sentences apply, verbal sentences with agentive verbs (agentive in their
particular usage, not as a lexical fact) constitute a clear majority.
