Happenings and control

Greetings 'netters. Yahgan has a number of different terms describing eventhood abstractly.

One form, u:mama:shu:, appears to code events that overtake one without deliberate intent, and is based on mama:shu:, describing conveying of observations to another, what one has seen or heard, without much in the way of interpretation or deliberation.

Another, u:chikari, codes events overtaking one that apparently were 'meant' (by some agency), based on chikari, involving planning etc.

Do other languages any of you are familiar with similarly split 'happenings' by control in this manner? Thanks.
