The School of Linguistics at Bangor University seeks applications from
well-qualified students to undertake a fully-funded PhD by research
(three such studentships are available). Applicants must apply no later
than March 23rd 2012 to be considered for the studentship competition.
The studentships provide full-funding (including tuition waiver and

annual maintenance grant of £13,000, and also receives an annual
research allowance of up to £1,500 (for approved expenditure).
Successful studentship applicants will be expected to supply around 100
hours per year of teaching/research assistance focused on a supervisor /
research team as part of their development as an academic of the
future. The School of Linguistics seeks specific research proposals in
some aspect of either Cognitive Linguistics, or Bilingualism, the two
research priorities of the department.

Prospective applicants may contact the Linguistics Director of
Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Eirini Sanoudaki (e.sanoudaki at bangor.ac.uk)
