Lecturer in Critical Discourse Analysis (Lecturer A/B)

We wish to appoint a scholar in the area of critical discourse analysis (CDA). The Department would be particularly interested in appointing a candidate with one or more of the following research interests: i.) the special contribution of CDA to gender and language study, ii.) power and ideology in texts in relation to identity, and iii. ) the role of language in contemporary social change. Applicants should have, or be near to completing, a relevant PhD. They should also have a good publication record relative to their experience. The appointment will be made in the salary range £22,191 - £33,679. The successful applicant will take up their appointment in September 2004.
