Ethnographies of Language, Gender & Sexuality

Date: Thursday 26th April 2018; 10.00am to 6.00 pm

Place: Goldsmiths, University of London, New Cross, London SE14 6NW

This is the 11th meeting of the British Association of Applied Linguistics Special Interest Group on Language, Gender and Sexuality. The aim of this event is to highlight the important contributions that ethnography can make to the study of language, gender and sexuality. The event encourages a discussion between language, gender and sexuality scholars and linguistic ethnographers, raising questions of theory and methodology, and, above all, offering an insight into a range of current ethnographic studies of language, gender & sexuality in both private and institutional contexts.
