He is Rolf Hachmannn (German) - His book was recommended
to me by several university professors who have worked
in the field. I never got to the point where I ordered
a copy, however.

I was told that it is not the easiest book to read. But that it represents
a sound and reflected learnedness about a difficult subject, and that if
you really want to learn about the Goths, then this is the book to read.
