About Gaut, and frankly anything else in this thread, I know nothing, but I
should mention that it is generally agreed that in Tacitus Mars is Tyr, and
Odin is Mercury. This is born out by the names of the days of the week
(Mercurii and Martis dies are Wednesday and Tuesday repectively.)
