Thank you indeed ´for your comments. They fill
out some of the details in my short presentations.

your account mixes up the events of 322, when Constantine fought 
against Sarmatians in Pannonia, of 323, when he defeated and 
killed Rausimod, and of 332, when Constantine II defeated Ariaric 
and his father concluded a foedus with him (cf. Wolfram, Goten, 
p.71). Why you continue to use the form Araric, puzzles me. Both 
Jordanes and the Excerpta Valesiana have only the form ARIARIC. 
And. by the way, you miss 324, when the Tervingi under Alica 
fought on the side of Licinius against Constantine and lost.
