Dirk,

Emperor Marcus Aurelius Carus in 282 AD defeated
some Sarmatian forces that broke into Sirmium. So
there were still some rests of the Sarmatians.

Sarmatian Jazygians, led by the Goth Raisimuth, force
their way into Roman territory but were defeated
in 321 AD (10th Gothic War 321-322 AD). The Romans
try to stop Raisimuth but Ararik defeats Emperor Constantine.

The 11th Gothic War 328 AD is also a result of Sarmatian
rest groups attacking the Goths.

Theoderich is fighting some rests of the Sarmatians in 488 AD
when he is moving the whole Ostrogothic people toward
Alpine passes and breaks into Italy. Reliable sources do not even
mention a Sarmatian king of these small rests of Sarmatians.
The large following battles are between Romans and Goths.
The dominating force since the third century is the Gothic.

Gothically
