These are minimum figures based on votive deposits so far
at these places. One possibility is that these battles were
part of the effort to by the Danes to drive out the Eruli, who
migrated to the south east of Europe to arrive in the Black
Sea area 250-300 AD. Goths coulds also have been involved.
