An interesting point in the RLK book is the question
of the Gautic heraldic lion and its possible links to
the East Roman lions. With the settlement of Eruli
in south Scandinavia in the view of Procopius
it is possible that the Goeta lion had its roots in
the culture where this remigrating people lived.

Another source that might be further investigated is
the work of Professor Wilhelm Holmqvist who in
his book _Guldhalskragarna_ (The Golden Necklaces)
published in 1980. Holmqvist pointed to the similarity
between these Vaestergoetland finds and style,
imagery and symbolic in South East Europe. The gold
and the world of ideas seem to originate in the Gothic
and Erulic kingdoms and the areas where these peoples
lived.

The Swedish runologist Elisabeth Svaerdstroem has
indicated that there is nothing speaking against the runic art having
been transferred to Scandinavia by Goths and Eruli.
The older Furthark, so RLK, has great similarities with
the letters in Wulfila's bible. These similarities have been
noted not long before the RLK book was published
by the researcher Bengt Omnelius in Uppsala.

Gothically/Erulically
