Hails!

I am like Francisc also, amateur (post-bac, trying to find a better graduate program). Allow me to suggest an
alternate nominal ending, as the participial agentive might be cumbersome and perhaps sound a bit un-namelike (see
http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Salon/2385/gothnames.html for common nymic terminals in Gothic). Of agentive suffixes
in Gothic there is -ja (< -jan-), such as in dedja (one who does) and kasja (one who makes pottery), gaggja (one who
goes). There is -jis, -eis (< -ja-) as in harjis (army), asneis (daylaborer), siuneis (witness), fasteis (one who
holds fast, i.e. expert), ma?leis (speaker), ragineis (counsellor, guide), et al. There is also -areis, from latin.
But the closest match to -vaknir however might be the -jis/-eis ending. So besides *Wodawakjands, you might think
about *Wodawakjis or *Wodawakja, depending on your taste and euphony.
