[gothic-l] Is my name Gothic?

Hello, my family name is Sunlin. Rumor is that we come from Alsace.
One day I decided to look in a Gothic dictionary for the parts of the
name, and lo, "sun" had an entry and so did "lin". Does that make it a
Gothic name? How could it have remained unchanged over these centuries?
