Using DNA to find Goths

i thought you can only trace relatives with dna, but
not any racial groups of the past...but there should
be no problem finding descendants in spain and
italy...i know theres several groups there associated
with their gothic descendants and their history....in
madrid they have several statutes of different gothic
kings from their past....
