Quick question on adjectives

Hi Oscar,
I didn't know the form "lausida stada", which would translate as "empty/lost place", so it is a suitable description for a desert. 
The world "authida" appears quite frequently in the bible and also means desert. Compare to oHG "aodi" and modern German "Öde".
In the Marcus Evangelium you find:
"4. was Iohannes daupjands in authida jah merjands ..."
John the Baptist was in the desert and preached ..."
