Quick question on adjectives

 thanks a lot for this comprehensive overview. I find that Thomas Lambdin's book is quite good as an introduction. However,  I now discover that many topics are dealt with only in a minimalistic manner. I also have the "Gothic Etymological Dictionary" by Lehmann and the Deutsch-Gotisches Wörterbuch of 1933 (!). The latter is not very detailed (more like a 50-page word list), but of course very handy to look up Gothic words from German.
  
 I have learned a lot of Gothic vocabulary, meaning that my passive recognition of Gothic is quite ok. I.e. I can read the Gothic bible without too much difficulty. However, my active use of Gothic is still very bad. 
  
 I think a key problem when reading the Gothic bible is the structure of the sentences. I can make out the meaning, because I know the words and the subject is of cours familiar as well, but to me at least the structure is quite often unclear.
 For example: Lukas XV, 39
  
 ".... bi sunjai, sa manna sa sunus was gudis" 
  
 literally I read here 
  
 "...in truth, the man the son was of god". 
  
 I would have expected something like 
  
 "....bi sunjai, sa manna was sunus gudis"
  
 i.e.
 " ... in truth, the man was the son of god"
