I witnessed the Pequot Museum display the day before the museum opened in 1998. They have an amazing language room in the museum with touch screens for several languages in the region. also on posts I remember their being the names of most of the other Native North American languages. It was great to find the Kalapuya mentioned there.

(WTNH) _ Their culture is on display in museums and in classrooms across the
country. But, the languages of Native Americans have been somehow lost. Now,
thanks to a Connecticut tribe, they're being re-discovered.
