Oneida Indian Nation working to preserve native language

CENTRAL NEW YORK -- The Oneida Indian Language was near extinction just four
years ago. Now with the help of language experts, the tribe is working to bring
it back to life.

The tribe hired Berlitz language experts to create a training course. The
original class of seven has completed the course and is now teaching the
language to others.
