Eyak language finds new speaker from unlikely upbringing

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A celebration was held at the Alaska Native Heritage
Center this weekend to honor a young French man who is learning to speak
Eyak, a language that is hovering near extinction. Eyak was once spoken by
people who lived in the Cordova area.
