If I'm not mistaken, Icelandic uses 'skónwarp' (or something like that -
Nordic specialists, correct me) with roots meaning 'shine' ('project'?) and
'cast' respectively. This refers to the transmitter (like 'broadcast' in
English), not the receiver as in German. Just a matter of point of view of the
observer.
