The Department of Linguistics at the University of Southern California is
seeking a qualified instructor for an upper-division undergraduate course in
Child Language Acquisition during the Spring 2001 semester (January 9 - May
1).  Candidates must have a Ph.D., and a strong linguistics teaching record
is preferred.  A description of the course follows:

LING 405 Child Language Acquisition: Universal characteristics of child
language; stages of acquisition of phonology, syntax, semantics; processes
and dimensions of development; psychological mechanisms; communicative
styles.  The course is scheduled to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
2-3:20 pm, and expected enrollment is 15 students.
