October 14-16, 2002.

We are hosting a workshop this fall on procedures related to recording
event-related potentials from infant and child populations. Day 1 will focus
on theory and literature related to ERPs, ERPs measures of language issues,
as well as a practicum on scalp electrode applications. Day 2 will focus on
a range of testing issues specific to these populations. Day 3 will attend
to ERP analysis approaches and issues.

Monday, October 14:
a. ERP background 
b. Experimental design issues with infants and children.
c. IRB issues 
d. Lab management 
e. Electrode application on babies and children.

Tuesday, October 15:
a. Subject Recruitment
b. Screening sensory systems ­
c. Behavioral testing with children to complement ERP testing
d. Special population issues.
e. Testing practices specific to pediatric populations
f. Equipment set-up
g. Trouble shooting

Wednesday, October 16:
a. Dealing with Artifacts during and after data collection
b. Data analysis issues
c. Unstructured questions and answers (3 hours).
