motor development in siblings?

Does anyone have information about research on whether second infants
are faster or slower in their motor development? One could imagine
either scenario - trying actively to keep up with the older sibling
or being a more passive observer of the older sibling's comings and
goings. And language? I've heard talks about faster development of
language in younger siblings? Are there research reports on this?
Many thanks for any info, and Happy New Year to all,
Annette
