ages from birthdates in Excel

Dear Friends,

Do any of you computer-sages out there know a function or series of
functions that can be entered into an Excel sheet to calculate ages
of the format used in acquisition research, e.g. '7;3.14' from
birthdates expressed in conventional ways, e.g. '4-15-95'?
