Research Assistant, Wellcome Trust Project

A research assistant is required for a large family study
 of children with specific language impairment (SLI) directed by
Professor Gina Conti-Ramsden.  The project involves working with
probands, siblings and their relatives, collecting psycholinguistic,
family and other data.  The post will involve substantia and
intensive fieldwork and travel throughout England.

Applicants should have a good first degree in Psychology,
Speech-Language Therapy or other related discipline.  A Masters
degree is desirable. The successful applicant should have good
organisational and communication skills and be comfortable talking to
and interviewing people.

The post is for a fixed term for 18 months with a
 salary in the range of £17626 to £19681 according to age and
experience. The applicant will be expected to meet the necessary
requirements of the Criminal Records Bureau before an appointment is
made.
