acquisition of the English perfect

Can anyone tell me of either naturalistic or experimental studies of the
development of the present perfect (i.e., have + en, as in 'Mommy has eaten
the cookie') by English-speaking children. Brown (1973) notes only that it
is a late development (beyond his stage 5), and I don't know of more recent
work on the topic.

Thanks.
Nina
