Dear Judy - there is also the work of Stephen Ceci at Cornell and Michelle Leichtman at the University of New Hampshire. Their work looks at suggestibility of children's memory, and at children's testimony.

Dear Judy,

The work that comes immediately to mind is that of Gail Goodman (ggoodman at ucdavis.com
) at UC Davis. She tends to focus more on memory properties, rather
than the verbal expression of the memories, but I assume that one
needs to really consider the two in conjunction.

The other obvious pointer is to Roger Shuy and his remarkable work on
governmental distortions of recordings and testimony. That works is
heavy in content analysis, although it never focuses on children.
However, the mechanisms of testimony and distortion that Shuy has
studied may be applicable in this case too.
